The Dance Academy of Mexico (DAOM) was established by Marina Croft in Milwaukee, WI in 2010.
DAOM was created to teach and preserve Aztec and Mexican traditional dances in the Midwest.
We are proud to participate in many local, national and international festivals such as Mexican Fiesta from 2010-2022; Indian Summer 2010-2019; International Holiday Folk Fair 2010-2022; Disneyworld, Orlando, FL 2012-2022; Universal Studios, Orlando, FL 2018-2022; Chiba, Japan in 2016; Festival des Cultures du Drummondville, Canada in 2017; and Pilsen Festival, Czech Republic 2024.
We are also members of CIOFF.
The International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Art is an International nongovernmental organization (NGO) in formal consultative relation with and accredited by UNESCO. The duty of CIOFF is the safeguarding, promotion and diffusion of traditional culture and folklore. In more than 90 countries, CIOFF National Sections are umbrella organizations for national and regional associations of traditional culture, folklore and folk arts festivals, as well as intangible heritage specialists.
